Darts anyone?

It's as simple as this: A group of Sun City residents approached the board early last year and asked if we sould be willing to put dart boards up in Sun City. We told them their best bet was to form a club with the required number of signatures and we would pursue it.

They did, and quickly gathered the 25 they needed. It was a little more challenging to find the space, but after some wrangling we found a spot at the Bell bowling alley.

All of us on the RCSC email blast got an announcement darts would be open for use this morning. I stopped by and snapped a picture, but you can't miss it as you go in the 99th street entrance. The machines are right there.

Here's a picture; you know the drill, click on to enlarge:

The best part of this process is the new amenity will serve two masters. The club will have set hours of play and the rest of the time they will be open for use by card members and their guests.

    Too sweet.

Are they electronic? I'm not a dart player so not up on the current systems.

Yup, electronic boards, rubber tips. They score automatically and are even wired to the net so you could conceivably play someone in a remote location also logged in.

So a dart in the arm, something they love to show in movies, will be a thing of the past.
