There exists the possibility that a decision has been made to appoint no one to the vacancy, and instead, wait for the next election to take place.

 

Apparently so.

If you received the email Blast from the RCSC notifying that the Candidate Packets will be available on June 2nd it mentioned that there were 4 open positions. Three position for three years and one position for one-year.

I do believe that Steve Collins can serve for the one year term. He was elected only to a 2 year term in December of 2020. So he has only served for 5 years.

 

I also have the ability to serve a one year term. My first term was for 2 years as I was elected to complete another members term. My second term was indeed for three years, as that is what I was elected to.
I had rather hoped to have had the opportunity to compete for the open vacancy with the opportunity to transition to a one year term. Big dreams of trying to becoming an agent of change. Would love to see some of the ideas brought forward on TOSC to fruition.

 

Is Steve Collins a favored preference? I can withdraw my resume and forgo any ideas I may have. Actually, probably the best choice at this point.
