Last week during my time at the Visitor Center, I picked up a few of the book "Best is Yet to Come" and took them to the weekly neighborhood cocktail party. The people enjoyed looking at it so much that I plan to take more next time. Yesterday a neighbor hosted a St. Patrick's Day dinner for 50 people on our street. Corned Beef & Cabbage, carrots & potatoes, and soda bread/butter were served. There were also bratwurst & buns. Guests brought hor duerves, salads, desserts, and their own drink.There was an abundance of food. Neighbor had sent out invitations with a request for $5. What a deal that was! I made a salad - marinated cut green beans, cannilini beans, & carrot rounds (all canned)and very easy to prepare. Green/White/Orange happen to be the colors of the Irish flag. We are very social on my street. What a pleasure it is living in Sun City.
