In a previous post I asked what desert was in Arizona. Here is the answer

Arizona is the only place on the continent where several types of deserts are found.

The Sonoran Desert is one of the largest and hottest deserts in North America.

The Mohave Desert supports nearly 2,000 species of plants.

Parts of the Great Basin Desert have a cold desert climate.

The Chihuahuan Desert straddles the U.S./Mexican border and is the 2nd largest desert in North America.

The Painted Desert is part of the Petrified Forest and has a vivid display of colors.

The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum near Tucson demonstrates the implications of human occupancy of the desert.

The St. Xavier del Bac Mission in Tucson is called the White Dove of the desert because of its gleaming white form.

When you fly over Arizona you can usually see some of the deserts.
