Just a quick reminder about the annual RCSC membership meeting this Saturday (February 21, 2015) at the Sundial Auditorium. * Doors open at 9 am with registration, free coffee and donuts provided. *At 10am there will be a presentation of 2014 highlights and 2015 goals. Jan Ek, general manager, will also give this years annual operating and capital budgets. *Promptly at 11:30, keynote speaker Suzie Humphreys will entertain us with "Life is what happens to you when you're making other plans." * Lunch with free hot dogs, chips and water will be served from 12:30 to 1:30 and newcomers can register for the annual membership meeting. * The "official" membership meeting will begin at 1:30 pm followed by an awesome door prize drawing (winners must be present). For those newer to Sun City we used to hold four membership meetings a year. Attendance was always spotty and we decided to try something different. Our goal was to tailor it towards the more successful efforts by others who created an annual setting filled with information, fun food and a lively get-together. The past two years has seen good crowds and has easily been far better received. At last year's meeting we produced and distributed "The Best of Sun City 2013/2014." The full color magazine got rave reviews and there are still copies around. Rather than waste them, a decision was made to use them again but in concert with an 8 page supplement called "The Best of Sun City 2014/2015" (catchy title eh?). Once again it is brilliantly written and beautifully laid out. Hopefully we can entice the powers that be to give us a sneak peak of the front page as a tickler to get you all frenzied and frantic to show up on Saturday. Coming to the annual meeting is the only way you can get your hot little hands on a copy before next week.
