Anybody else been getting calls from these jokers? It's really annoying. I am on do-not-call list, I have opted out for info., nothing seems to be working. Maybe they are a good company and someone has had great service from them. I'd be interested in hearing that too esp. what exactly they did for you....
The do-not-call list was a great idea, that doesn't work. We get so many calls, even on our cell phones, and for a while I reported every one to the do-not-call list, but they continued to this day. Annoying to the max!
Lately I have been getting several unwanted calls a day. A recent newspaper article mentioned a new program that is supposed to start in mid-September. It says you should be able to connect to Nomorobo.com for a service developed by a software programer. He won $25,00 for the FTC's challenge for a robocalls solution. By signing on, free, calls that come into your phone also are directed to Nomorobo;s smart service, which analyzes frequency and blocks calls on a black list of known offender numbers. The article goes on to say it isn't 100% fooproff, but it's an extra layer of protection. Other things you can do: Don't answer unfamiliar numbers (pegmih:unfortunately, I do not have caller ID) Hang up immediately Never give out personal information (pegmih:now that's like a DUH!) Call your phone provider but be wary of fees tied to blocking calls.

We have these clowns calling wanting us to invest in oil. Just got home from our Oregon trip and had over 2,000 spam emails to deal with. Wished we could get rid of these intrusions.
