So this week the RCSC looks to make a huge comeback with an Alan Jackson Tribute Show at the Sun Bowl. Some may speculate this show is in honor any newly arrived cowboys/ranchers/farmers (how's that for a stretch mick?) who have recently arrived from Wyoming.

Be that as it may, show time begins at 6:30 pm and you'll need chairs, blankets and the proper liquid refreshments. And do not forget your RCSC cards with picture, as this show if for RCSC members and their "escorted" guests. Food trucks will be in the food court an hour plus before the show starts for those too lazy to cook their own dinner (said with a smile).

Just as a historical footnote, there were all too many times when potential buyers opened ovens in Sun City homes only to find the built-in double oven had never been used. Those early years of Sun City had a good number of folks who joked about never cooking, because they were always eating out; dinner menu's in Sun City restaurants were really reasonable.

To help get you all excited about the show Sunday night, here's a youtube clip of the Doug Brewin Tribute to Alan Jackson.

One disappointing note is the RCSC is now encouraging people to bring their FM radios and headphones to listen to the concert. Guess it was cheaper to do that than to put in a good speaker system. How dumb is it to bring in great talent and not upgrade the old sound system?

I couldn't resist, while looking for Doug's clip I found the real Alan Jackson sing at George Jones' memorial held at the Grand Old Opry in 2013. Enjoy...He Stopped Loving Her Today.

Awesome show last night gang. The weather was perfect, the crowd was jumping and Doug Brewin the band behind him were smoking good. If you weren't there, you should have been. Close to 7000 happy SC residents doing what we do best...enjoying life and all the community has to offer.

Here's a couple of photo's from the show:
