The other day at the member exchange i was looking at the new long range planning committee budget; the one the president told me that didn't add any new dollars to. I knew that wasn't the case, but what's nonsense between friends. In the craziness of the discussion on the for-profit corporation they want to start, i lost track of this question I had for them.

While on the board a few years back, we had approved a payoff on the solar lease of about 4.5 million dollars. As i went over the new solar lease payoff, it appeared to be in the 5.5 million dollar range.

Is my memory that bad, or did we somehow just increase the payoff by a million dollars?

Perhaps a board member or the gm can fill us in eh?

    No.

They allow you into the Board meetings and the Member Exchange...that's it. All other decisions and actions are done in a vacuum.

You have a problem with the transparency? Elections are in November/December.

You give board members way too much credit V.

Still waiting for someone from the board or management to answer this one.

I did a search of the archived summaries and the March 2015 BOD Meeting gave the following figure in the "flexible" PIF Long Range Plan:
    2019:
    Project Description
    Budgeted Project Cost
    Payoff Solar System Lease
    $4,574,697

And now a little over a year later the 2019 solar buy-out on the lease system is...drum roll please...

    $5,545,216
