Does anybody know what the story is on the 2026 Annual Membership Meeting? I thought I heard that it wasn't going to be held on March 10th but sometime later in March. Also wondering about the dates and time-frames for submitting motions and amendments? Next: Anybody interested in getting together to brain-storm and come-up with any motions or amendments to the Bylaws to try and get our ability to vote at our own membership meetings back? I think an amendment like that, and whether or not it would be acceptable could tell a very gloomy tale about what the Board actually thinks about the Members!?!? Or have we, the Members, been so ostracized that we have totally given-up caring?
Tom, Are you wanting to try to rewrite the membership meeting guidelines to try and make them work the same way they used to? Or amending the new process to make it more user friendly? Just trying to gauge the scope of what the goal is. This may help get folks on board to want to support the efforts of trying to create change.
I think those are pretty much the same thing? If we can get our voting rights at our meetings back, then I consider that to be more Member friendly. Besides, it will be interesting to see if such a motion is acceptable or just one more affair of the corporation?
Tom, You are most adept at writing great guidelines for what the RCSC should do in accordance with the AOI. I would be more than willing to help with your proposal for the membership meeting. I suggest that everyone that feels passionate about an issue should propose a reasonable amendment to address their concerns. I always prefer to have a reason for change explanation accompany the proposed amendment.
Within the next few days I'm going to submit an amendment that would return our ability to vote back to being done at our Annual Membership Meeting. It'll be interesting to see if they accept it or define it as an affair of the corporation.

Marketing this year’s Annual Membership Meeting, at the board meeting on February 26th, directors encouraged member attendance: FOOD- Hot dogs, 5 pm until the business meeting begins at 6pm. Future notifications will request RSVPs to ensure adequate food is provided. PRIZE DRAWINGS- According to Tom Foster, some really great ones are being lined up. He is disappointed as a board member he isn’t eligible to participate. The meeting is twofold, intended to be fun, like a party, and the business meeting.
