The sad part is, the Bylaws they will be voting on will most likely not be the same Bylaws that were sent out for us to read before the Town Halls.

There will be another meeting of the "working-group" tomorrow to go over the comments they received at the Town Halls.

I suspect that certain things may change and the Members will not know what has changed until that Special Session, and when the final copy of the revised, revised Bylaws come out that will be voted on at that meeting!

It’s crystal clear to this attendee these bylaws will be voted on, members be damned. I tried to speak to the issues I wanted dealt with, and this guy sitting at the table turned and looked up at the time I had left to speak every 15 seconds. He was across from the podium so you could not miss this willful act of distraction going on.
I am extremely disappointed in basically being called a liar. When I mentioned print media, the quote shot across the table was $16k a month to produce. When I said it could be a shared venture with the Independent, I was told that couldn’t happen. The Sunvews was a shared venture with the independent. Sun City West collaborates with the independent and they produce a community newspaper delivered to residents by mail for $40k a YEAR! I now realize, based upon tonight, they don’t care what members want or need. Let me quantify that statement, “they” as in the directors and board president that are involved with this bylaws process. The decision has been made and it’s getting rammed through, no matter what.
The repeated insistence that ANCA makes everything that is being done okay. Not one acknowledgement to the members. When trying to make a point, the person in front was not only looking at the clock, but started fidgeting enough to be bothersome. I even made a remark that yes I can tell I am out of time.
This is not the welcoming community we moved to all those years ago. There is no intention of making meaningful inroads to member involvement. The excuse of not enough space to merge the visitors center and cardholder services to create a member centric environment told me everything I needed to know. There’s no interest in being a community that will ever be member focused again.
It took me this long to stop crying long enough to post this. Oh and the comment from the sitting board member who doesn’t want certain information published because it might end up on TOSC, here’s your sign.
