The URL you quote in #45 above is not the RCSC suncity Az.org website.

Hmm...I am able to get to the RCSC Organizational Chart on the NEW! RCSC website. Unfortunately, it's not readable. And so many of the links continue to go to OOPS! This is not acceptable.

The preparation and roll out of this product has been very disappointing IMO. I'll continue to offer my help and assistance as I have first-hand knowledge of what is needed, should be accessible on this site. There are many missing details and elements in this version that are crucial for conveying information to both potential residents in addition to existing Members/Cardholders. Also, RCSC staff rely on accessing much information from the suncityaz.org website that is currently not available.

If you hold down the Ctrl Key plus the + key you can increase the size of the chart so that you can read it!

The more times you hit the + key the larger the chart will appear!

There are centers that do not have the fiber yet but installation is ongoing per Kevin @ BF&A meeting last week. Didn’t say when it would be completed but would believe it would be soon. He has always been a straight shooter to me.

There are other ways to post that are more user friendly for our demographics IMO (i.e. Link to printable PDF). Just sayin'!

    Welcome to the thread Joelyn.

It's nice to see that there are others who think the NEW? website has been a disaster since rollout on 09/16/25.

    I'm still waiting on the following from posters on this thread;
    1. Why is Mike Dirmyer (part of the golf world) the point person on the NEW? web site?
Why isn't there an IT person involved in this?
    2. The BOD has appeared to have washed their hands of this web site issue.
Why? They have thrown Mike under the bus on this.
    3. Who recommended Tallwave as the web site developer and why?
As usual, no answer from anyone on the board.
    4. What is the 2025 budget for Technology?
    No answers yet!
    5. What ids the official URL for the Sun City web site?
Traditionally it was suncityaz.org. Now it is a mashup of suncityaz.org and some AZURE webiste.
    6. Why is there no response from multiple emails to Mike and the BOD?
    7. Biggest complaint is the 2 step process to get to a login screen and a 3 step process to get to a LOgoff screen.

I have other questions, but because of the lack of response from the BOD or Mike, I'll hold them
till someone other than EO responds.

    SCR,
I’ll give you an answer. If you are sending multiple emails, as you have stated, and they are in the same tone as your posts here on TOSC, I would have no doubt you are not being answered. Sending multiple emails over and over, that is considered cramming someone’s email. And the tone of the message is so demeaning. If I were on the receiving end of what has been posted in regards to the site, the people involved, and the comments made about website in general, I wouldn’t respond either.
I can take questions about the functionality of the site, missing or unusable content or features and other technical problems to Mike Dirmyer for his staff to address and review. The list provided with the technical functions is an easy summary to follow for the development team to review. I am not the voice for technical issues, but I can offer a form of outreach to seek answers and feedback about outstanding concerns. The comments about the board members involvement will not be shared.
Other comments are in regards to Tallwave’s selection? There would have been a comprehensive bid request made available and is standard protocol, the contractor that meets the criteria with the best matching bid is awarded the contract.
Mike Dirmyer decided to be the point person because he didn’t want his employees subjected to unwarranted exposure to cruel treatment by the members. There was such a clamor for the new site to be made available, I am guessing it was believed that bringing it out in its infancy at least satisfied the people wanting it here.
The url is still suncityaz.org. That is still the primary web address for Sun City, Az. That hasn’t changed and to my knowledge, will not be changed.
I have made the attempt to address your questions as written. Nope, I am not the acting GM and not an active board member, but trying to address your comments and opinions is just a way to keep the dialogue open and reply with the best of intentions. The answers provided are salient to the topic and the best way to offer some of the conclusions available. Imho

CM - So you are saying I should wait forever for a response to an email before I send another email
    on a completely different issue?
Do you in fact know what my emails were about?
Emails I sent were not the same as my postings here on Tosc.
The NEW? web site was supposedly fully developed and ready for rollout even though it was 5 months late.
Bringing out a half baked web site is definitely not the best idea. Many Many 404's.
One thing that will drive people away from a website is the number of times they get a 404.
    Just my opinions.

John, having to traverse 2 screens to get to the actual page to enter credentials is an improvement?
Having to traverse 3 screens to get to LOGOFF is an improvement?

SCR, concerns forwarded to Mike. Used the basic request by copy and paste. Will see if reply comes through.

There was such angst over the delay of the final product, a decision was made to let the current incarnation hit the shelves before all of the remaining issues could be resolved. Those issues are apparently minor compared to holding up the release of the current product. Having half of something is better than the whole amount of nothing.

The login process is due to the setup of the database and I look forward to an improvement in the future.

The log out process is so we didn’t have members accidentally log out. We wanted them to be sure they were logging out of the site. We are considering adding a log out button to the top portion of the website to cut one step out of the process.

That’s almost exactly what RCSC communicated in the September 17th E-blast which was posted here on TOSC same day.

    • RCSC Website Technical Updates Underway

QUESTION! Because you had to log-in with your Rec Card Number, does that mean that only Members of Sun City can view the contents of the website?

Anyone will see the general main sections of the site without logging in. https://suncityaz.org/

Access to mySunCity information is limited to RCSC registered Members and requires login.

Interesting that any and all information is thrown out by way of e-blast. Too bad for you if you don’t have access to getting such information. I don’t think it’s right that as a member, I have to sign up in order to get information relevant to the community including the website. Frankly, the availability of information should be available to anyone interested without having to register to participate or get it. More board control and more losses to the members. IMHO
