More pictures You can see how close together the houses are. Also I hope you can see the house that does not have a garage. Just a place to put golf car. It is the last picture.
Thanks for the pictures Peg. The third model in has a header where the garage will be. For the time being it will likely be the model showroom. In essence it's a two car garage with a golf car add-on. Good to see the stucco on it.
In the third image in the second group it looks like the house is really close to the block wall. Is that a temporary wall or an illusion?
I would say that the houses are about 6 feet apart. Also, they are probably less than that from the back fence. Talk about grass, trees or flowers, there would not be enough sun! I took some pictures of Sunland's area but they did not show up very well. They have very defintely improved the area. It is no longer filled with "junk".
Hope you slept well peg. The third house in has a header where the garage will eventually go. The golf car garage addition pictured is an additional cost item (I suspect) that for folks wanting it can order it when they have the home built. As far as how close they are; the real question is will this be the standard lot size? Or are they just doing it for the models? The original builders wanted to put twice the number of homes on the same footprint, so it's bewildering to me how they could have done that given what we are seeing in these photo's.
I am so excited these homes are being built. I am just so excited something is happening in Sun City lol. U-Hauls make me excited.......
The paints going on the Khov models as we type and the lots are being graded and readied for folks to begin making their selections. We are just weeks away from the opening and they are going to have to kick it into high gear to meet their Sept 18 deadline. As I drove around in my golf car last night, it looks like some of the lots will be bigger than the ones the models sit on. Anyone want to bet they sell for a premium? And you are spot on Fiona, it is great to see new home action happening in Sun City. Not sure how much more of a spike it will bring in Sun City home sales, but the overflow will surely generate more interest. It's hard to believe, because this year has been remarkable with near on 200 homes selling in July alone.
Heard a rumor yesterday, more than 100 of these homes are sold. I find that hard to believe, but who knows? They are working late into the evening over there to stay on track.
While you are in the neighborhood of the new KHOV homes, take the time to look across the street and check out the headquarters of the Sheriff's Posse of Sun City. Stop in and say hello. We would love to show you around and tell you our story.
Excellent suggestion PI, perhaps you could fill us in on the hours your front doors are open and folks could stop by to look around.
Due to lack of manpower, the front desk at the Posse is staffed from 9 A.M. to noon on weekdays. A phone call to 623-972-2555 will put you in contact with the Commander or another officer who would be glad to show you around at other times.
Any more word on that rumor? With the October 1st increase in PIF it may make for some increased speed in closings in the next couple weeks.
