I'm starting this thread for two reasons: I'm sick of seeing that header on leather or fabric and because I did so poorly on the thread quiz from the 70's (though I do have a good excuse for being so lame, I was drunk or high for most of it). Came across this quiz a month back or so and thought i'd post it for testing pleasure (is there such a thing?). Here's the link to the boomer's quiz.
Dang, got 11 wrong, but that's way better than the 70's quiz. Started mucking around after the quiz and found the 60's Home page, pretty darn cool. Headed off to look at a couple of homes, should be interesting.
Well, that was embarrassing - 15 right, 17 wrong. I wasn't and still am not the least interested in sports so those were all guessed wrong. As for the rest, I was aware of the events but have no idea what year things happened. Did pretty well with entertainment questions, movies, books, et al. No excuses except totally absorbed with my own small dramas of the time. I try to pay better attention now, don't know if that's a good thing or not?

Most of the sports one's I got right, the darned ones with dates or years were killers for me. Here's the best deal of all; once you get to Sun City you can spend all of your your waking moments ruminating about the 60's (or not). BTW Lin when are you moving here? You should want to get settled in before "winter" hits us eh?
BPearson - I'm aiming for mid-November, certainly before Thanksgiving. The airlines won't fly animals into a hot locale during "summer" temps so late October would be the earliest I could manage in any case since I'll be bringing my kitty cats with. If I could twitch my nose like Samantha and make it all happen right now, I surely would. I'm getting SO anxious. Have purchased a tiny used car which was delivered to my carport last week. Hard for an "I want what I want when I want it, and I want it now" girl to maintain with house and car beckoning. Once I do get there I'll have a month or more camping out in an empty house before my container of household goods catches up and by then we'll be into Christmas. Guess I could've timed it better.
Nice LW, time will be here before you know it. The real question will be how much of that stuff you are paying an arm and a leg to ship back here will last more than a year before you want to redecorate.
