A while ago I saw a bug going across my carpet.
I immediately got out my bug spray and gave it a good dose.
It continued to move and got another dose.
At the moment a book is sitting on top of it.
Tomorrow I will take a picture if it's still there.

That is why I do not walk around my house without shoes.

How big a bug? I keep the longest BBQ tongs I can find and a rubber mallet in every room to combat giant centipedes. I wasn't going to pack them (the tools, not the 'pedes) but maybe I should?

    A very, very small bug.
    It was a gold color.

You may want to pack the rubber mallet to pound out steaks before you put them on the grill, but otherwise the condo associations hire professional exterminators to spray on a regular basis. The occasional bug that may sneak in can be readily squashed but a good size 7 shoe.

    Pictures of bug this morning.
It had a nice nap under the book.
Guess I really sent it to bug heaven.

    My bug is a lizard.
Good guy who eats bad bugs.
Nevertheless, lizards are not welcome inside my house!

I love lizards and would welcome them in my house. I lived in a house once that had them on the ceiling at all times. Hope they can keep away from my dogs.

We have geckos, anoles, and chameleons - love the lizards, all of them. I have cats so not too many lizards inside but lots outside, especially love the tiny ones. Only downside to house lizards is lizard poo, looks a lot like bird poo and the lizards seem to be able to get any and everywhere - not that unusual to find lizard poo in the dish cupboard or on clothes hanging in the closet. We just clean up and move on, part of jungle living. I'll miss them.

My neighbor has had crickets for nearly a year and cannot seem to get rid of them.
    Insect people have even tried.

    What did you do?

I have been told that geckos are good guys and eat the bad bugs.

I like crickets too. We have this light brown ones here in Los Angeles. I usually just catch them and put them outside. The cricket sound is not very loud and not annoying to me. But where I grew up the crickets were the large black variety and their sound was very loud.

I pay about $50/year for outside extermination including garage.
Have to be home so that I can open door.

Then twice a year I have inside sprayed for $4.00 each time.
