Can you save money by switching to a HDHP with HSA?

    Too bad an HSA couldn't work with Medicare.

    I don't qualify. I have an employer plan that is not HDHP. Too bad, I could use the tax deduction and save it for later.

    We've had an HSA for the last ten plus years. Being self employed, it's hard to pay the monthly premiums for low deductible coverage. Once your contributions exceed your deductible you start to feel ahead of the game. The key is to make yearly contributions.
