Just got notice late yesterday the Rock and Roll show this Sunday night has been cancelled. No reason why which is frustrating, because I know this one would have had them hanging from the lamp posts. Wayyyyyyy too bad. I'm probably Theresa's biggest supporter but this is the second show in a month that won't be held. Seems to me when entertainers book, they should be there eh?
Bummer indeed! Sometimes circumstances arise over which the RCSC staff has no control, but what they do have control of is the flow of information. I, too, was disappointed to learn of the cancellation of the Rock and Roll show scheduled for Sunday night and wondered why. This morning, while getting my newspaper, I got the explanation volunteered by one of my neighbors. He told me he heard all the shows going forward were cancelled until they could build a fence around the Sun Bowl and install gates to make it easy to check for RCSC cards. I just grinned and told him that sounded a bit daffy. But when reasons or explanations are not forthcoming, people make up their own. I guess we will just have to trust the RCSC and cut them some slack for their secrecy. Again!
It's exactly why I have always been a proponent of passing on too much information Big R...it kills the stupid that comes from people as they make stuff up. I know there has been discussion on how to get a handle on outsiders at the shows, but to my knowledge no decisions have been made other than spot checks on cards. A week from Sunday will be the ABBA tribute and that should be jammed, especially of it's the same group that used to perform at Sky. They were simply fabulous. And your point should not be lost on the RCSC folks reading this..."secrecy. Again."
