Do door to door sales people have to go through SCHOA or some other organization in Sun City in order to sell?

I have a "No Solicitation" sign by my door bell. It is ignored.

Friday a young man wanted to sell something and thru up his hands when I said "No Thank You".

Yesterday a man and a women wanted to sell something.

I would like to ask for identification and definitely will NOT open door.

My neighbor asked the person who wanted to paint number on curb if he had permission to solicit.
He was told that the papers he tapes on houses blow away.
    Haven't seen him since.

NO they do not need to get approval from anyone. And while the sign on your door means something to you, they could care less.

    Thank you.
It might be something SC could consider.

Where my condo is located, there is a sign at the entrance of the courtyard that says no solicitation. I still get flyers at my place. I would like to see SC do something too.

There is no law against door to door sales in unincorporated areas of Maricopa County, which includes Sun City. Sun City has no government, and therefore is governed by the laws of Maricopa County. The Posse is frequently contacted by residents complaining about solicitors coming to their door. We will send a car to contact the solicitors and ask them to treat people with respect and not become aggressive and to abide by "no solicitors" signs. The best advice we can give is to keep your security door closed, say "no thank you" and close the door in their face.

If they become overly aggressive and you feel threatened, don't hesitate to call 911.
