Hello to everyone, plus I am a newbie to this site: I am having serious issues with coyotes. In the last 3-wks, it's getting out of control and it would be nice to find out who I contact about these issues/problems!!! On plenty of nights, when I take one dog at a time out, on a leash we stand in front of the house and he sure has better eyesight then I do but anyway, I am equipped with my can of rocks, flashlight and spray can that makes a lot of noise and he saw a coyote, too close for comfort near my mailbox and one standing behind my tree near the street so I then see them, and I am making way too much noise, and this happen at 8:45 pm, and it's like one of them didn't even want to run away. Then on other nights, I did see 3 of them , just walking the sidewalk before my dog saw them and now last night, right after I brought my dog in, I saw somebody's yard light go on from across the street, and I counted at least 9 of them and it was 10:00pm and I still had my inside front door open and I sprayed my can, and shook the can of rocks, and one coyote from the group, stopped and looked over, it's almost like he wanted to come over but then I started to yell loudly and then he took off after his group. This is making me feel so scared and it's getting way out of control and needs to stop! So, that is where I need info about this all! Thank you
I have heard about this for all these years. I think they live in the Agua Fria wash and in Sunland there are about 7 or 8 that live there as well. I understand this has always been a problem for Sun City. maybe someone else can chime in and help give you more info…. By the way… welcome to the site!! Thank you for welcoming me I live one block north of bell rd, off from 98th. I made phone calls today and it seems like I would have to pay somebody to set up traps and actually I am totally shocked by this, that this money would have to come out of my pocket I just thought the community would help out, whoever that is. Just would be nice to know, if anybody has a suggestion, comment or anybody north of bell rd is having problems like I am. Thank you
Not sure, but the person I talked with said that to me, trap them and send them back to wherever that might be.
Thank you Emily for all your info, I really appreciate that and will check out your link, also being that I have only lived in SC for 1yr, and prior to that WI, just not used to all these coyotes, and another question, I am a renter of the house I live in, so can I still join this meeting? Thanks
