In a year or so I would like to be living in the Sun City area. I'm interested in knowing a little bit more about the 80+ clubs and activities you list in your brochure. How many of them have 10 or more active participants? Which ones have the most participants and are most active?
Also does Sun City have close ties with any of the universities or colleges where retirees can take lifelong learning courses? If so, how close are they? I thank you for all the information you can give me.

Go to the link below for all kinds of information about Sun City.

There is a lifelong learning place nearby. Someone else probably knows more about it.

Hello Sue2014 - Sun City has Lifelong Learning with both spring and fall sessions. In addition, we have over 120 clubs for nearly any hobby or interest you might have. Please visit our website at www.sunaz.com and click on the Clubs tab for more information. Looking forward to having you join us next year.

Thank you Aggie! This is very helpful. The college Adult Lifelong Education courses sound very interesting. I hope I can find courses in Anthropology and Spanish.

Thank you Jhiggins for your reply. I have seen the long list of Sun City AZ Clubs and I'm sure I'll join many of them. Hope all is well in Sun City.

Hey Sue2014, welcome. Just to give you an idea on how many RCSC residents participate in clubs, the Committee On Clubs (COC's) asked member services to provide them a listing of club's total rosters over the past 5 years. In the 2013, there were well over 17,000 club members.

As one can imagine, there are ebb and flows to membership numbers as some clubs grow and others downsize. What's pretty cool is several new clubs have been started the last 5 years; residents identify a want or need, find at least 25 like minded people and start a new club. The computer club is the largest BTW.

There is a possibility that a Tai Chi Club might be formed.
Right now I am taking a class at the library.
