There is an Air Show today, March 15, 2014, at Luke AFB. It starts at 9 and is free. The new F35s will be featured. There is an Air Show at 11. I think it is the Thunderbirds. Let us know if you go.
I went to the Airshow at Luke AFB. I left at 10am, finally pulled into the parking field at Litchfield & Peoria at 12:15, paid $10 to park. Got into a snaking line that went back and forth 4 times to get on a school bus that took us to Luke. Before you could board the bus, Luke AFB security used a wand to check for ?, made you turn on your cell phone and/or camera to make sure it would. Stood in another line to get on a bus (there were 10 to 15 busses lined up). They decided to load one bus at a time! Finally, someone from Luke showed up and they then decided to load 4 busses at a time. We arrived at Luke AFB at 2:00. Very interesting show, planes from all over the world, little jets, big transport jets, helicopters, food stands everywhere, $7 for a Johnsonville Brat. The air show was great! When we left Luke, it only took 45 min. to get home.
