Just looked up from the newspaper to see 3 large, healthy coyotes walking along the top of our 6' block wall. This is near 111th & Sun City Boulevard. Please keep your pets indoors unless you are with them or have them on a very short leash. If the pet is not leashed you should be carrying a loud noisemaker or large stick. I guess coyotes are the price of living in the desert similar to the jet noise being the sound of freedom.
yep -- these coyotes live here and have since the beginning of desert ! ! - -Sometimes I will see 4 or 5 in a pack when I go walking early am. AND I have had them walk across my 6 foot block wall fence in backyard -- They can jump a high wall like it is not even there ! Nature at its best !
Yes, we have also seen coyotes walking along our neighbors 6' fence. They are very clever and yesterday, we watched a family hunting through our neighbors lantana. I would hate to open my door and be greeted by that bunch. This year, we have seen fewer coyotes, more quail and fewer small rabbits.
