Remember Levit Town? It was a humble little community started for our returning G.I's after WWII. It was not for the "affluent" but many families were started and raised there with many fond memories. I recall an article not long ago how much in demand for a "Levit Town" became and people treasure them. I see the same thing happening here with this retro bling we have. We also know and work with many "affluent" people who use this as a vacation home. They are wise with their money and realize just how far it can go here. Some people would rather have all the bling on the front of the house and live check to check and others would rather live. Just a matter of priority I guess. I have no desire to return to Vistancia where we could just about wash each other's windows we were so close.

Brilliantly written article and kudo's to the writer for getting it right. Not often we see positive comments from the AZ Republic on Sun City and this one was spot on. From the history to the evolution to a more progressive community looking to the future they showcased why Sun City was and still is a destination to be reckoned with.

Interesting to note the next day they released an article on the more upscale developments. They talked to any number of folks tied to the business who talked about how the more affluent buyers were looking for smaller more intimate communities. Of course they have to find new buzz words to somehow create interest in communities that have less amenities at two and three times the cost.

What is curious is the fact that the Pulte/Del Webb boomer survey from 2010 saw the top three items boomers were looking for fit the Sun City profile to a tee. But then we all know, they can never repeat Sun City, so they are almost better off to ignore us and pretend we don't exist.

Won't happen and for proof positive the total number of homes in Sun City this year will be somewhere around 2200.
