I like to think I need to ask if I laughed enough and if I was kind enough to others. I guess that is what I want in return.

 

Pride or Humility?

Is it really more important as to who is right or what is right? We get caught up with the who far too often and it takes a toll on what is right.

Any decision of conscience always involves some risk. If we choose to go north, we may never know what would have happened had we gone east, west or south. A hypercautious withdrawal from all perplexing situations is not the virtue of prudence; it is, in fact, a bad decision, for "not to decide is to decide."

I love elephants. I relate to them more than any other animal because they have many human traits--like crying when they lose a baby. What do you learn from animals?

 

Do you travel?

If you ask people approaching retirement, "What is one thing you want to do when you retire?" often you will hear, "I want to travel." Ever since the beginning of the human race, people have traveled--either for existence, to find a better life, or to explore what's on the other side of the mountain. If you could travel any where, where would you go?

 

Just in watching any animal - - one can just vision, see, hear, & feel how beautiful creation and nature is. A simple trip to the zoo - observing the many different animals and watching them - just a beautiful sight ! A true learning experience on how animals can care for each other.:fox:

 

I had always wanted to be a social worker (my studies in college) and "save the world" - -Go and visit undeveloped areas. Never made it. However, I was fortunate to be able to travel many countries, many lands. Africa would be one I would like to visit.

 

Dreaming

How do you feel when you lie down to sleep?

If your mind swirls with events of the day, and keeps you awake, perhaps that is a clue to help you look at ways to make a difference in someone else's life. Before going to sleep tonight, think of one thing you did that made a difference to a neighbor, friend, spouse...

 

A Happy Thanksgiving Day

When I think of all I am thankful for, the word abundance comes to mind. Abundance of everything I need, including time, energy, and talent. I hope to do my first Voluntourism trip next fall to Guatemala and help build a bottle school. What are you doing to give back of the abundance you have received?

What is a bottle school?

 

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them".

A bottle school is one in which plastic water/soda bottles are stuff full of non-biodegradeable junk and are formed into walls between chicken wire and held together with cement. Stay Vacation

Unable to leave for the beach, we decided to do a week-long stay vacation at the Scottsdale Links. It's a lovely resort. Our two-bedroom unit is as comfy as our home, but without the the work waiting for me. I don't feel guilty about reading a novel all day long.
