Google Earth is awesome for investigating unfamiliar neighborhoods. When My son moved from Greenwich Village to Brooklyn I was able to zoom in on their new neighborhood.....see the parks where my grand kids could play, I could see just about everything but into the windows of their new home :)

Is it easy to walk across Bell, Fiona? I've heard some posts that it is difficult to walk across Grand. I have a habit of walking to shop, if I'm not buying too much. I like to use daily chores as part of my exercise. At least for now I often walk to the store. Maybe I wouldn't in the AZ summer:watermelon:

I see a few walkers going across both but I would not want to do it myself. I even planned to walk the 3 miles to the clay club but decided not to until my Canadian friend returns and forces me into it lol. To drive, no problem. If you walk for groceries then look for homes near the Fry's or the Safeway above Bell. The homes up by Union Hills are the newer homes and the stores are numerous if you drive out Union Hills to 83rd you will find Costco, Walmart and Target boxes without crossing Bell or Grand. There is a rec center on Union hills/99th as well and they have added a huge new gym. Hope this helps.

I think it would be nice to see more grocery stores in the Phase II and I areas......Maybe some small mom & pops with unique produce. Speaking of which..if you enjoy Asian markets there is one on 75th and Cactus. Lee Lee's has some great selections.

I have been told that the large empty building in the La Ronde Circle at one time was a grocery store.
    (Talisman & Del Web)

It would be nice and convenient for it to be one again.

Unfortunately, Frys & Safeway probably would not agree.

Lee Lee's is an excellent place to shop ! ! Smells a bit fishy ! ! duh -- they have awesome choices of fresh fish in their cases. Wonderfully displayed seafood as well as their large abundance of produce, fresh veggies, fruits, and so many different varieties.

Their foods from different countries - - near and far are so abundant !
What a wonderful selection of teas, spices, rice noodles, pastas, sauces, etc. They also carry cook ware as well as kitchen ware and some trinkets. Amazing place to shop. The first time I had been there -- I spent several hours --just looking around... it was like entertainment viewing All Their Stuff !
It used to be Albertson's Grocery Store -- sold to Lee Lee's approx. 7 yrs. ago.

Thanks for the suggestions. yes SC seems a bit low on the corner sort of stores that make quick groceries much easier.

We lived close to Bell and Del Webb and now live closer to Thunderbird and 99th and I really like our location--close to Bell Center, Sun Dial and Lakeview. It is also a quick entrance to the 101 and is close to all the medical facilities, plus a couple of nice shopping areas. Wherever you live, you will love it here!

I've heard several people say they moved within in SC. I wonder the reason you chose to relocate to different locations. or maybe were you renters first and then bought?

We have had a few people move in on our street that relocated from other areas of Sun City....our newest neighbor was living on Alabama and decided to move to a quieter neighborhood. Alabama can get pretty busy, though not like 107th.

    Arizona 5 c's

From the 1950s to the 1970s, anyone growing up in Arizona knew about the Five Cs.

The Five Cs of Arizona are copper, cattle, cotton, citrus and climate.

The Five Cs were once very important for jobs in Arizona, but not as much as they once were, although they still play a part of Arizona's economy.
