    Fellow members,

I feel like this is Deja vu all over again. Architects and the board work all summer in secret and then have the big Mountainview reveal (without many details) before the members are present (they can join via zoom or something else that won't work). Nine days later rush through a board vote to approve next steps. When will we ever learn?

My suggestion is to delay any board vote on proceeding until December and conduct a member survey on the plan.

    Just one person's view.

Thanks EO - Am I missing something? Did I misunderstand the exchange meeting where CN asked TF whether there would be a board vote to move on to the design phase at the September board meeting and he said yes. I am really not trying to be difficult, but the presentation says "Decisions will be made based on feedback during visioning/programming and usage data" So the train has left the station, and the decisions have all been made. The purpose of the town hall is to inform the members what decisions were made and nine days later a vote will be taken??? As a dues-paying member my questions will be:

What options do I have to pick from?
Why should I pick one option over another?
How does my selection of one option over another impact the other 7 centers?
Given that RCSC facilities have a less than 30% utilization rate how does my selection of one option improve this pitifully low utilization percentage?
How do the ongoing operating costs of the option I select impact the future fees members will need to pay?
How do these options fit into the overall plan to make Sun City Great Again?

These are the questions I would ask at the town hall.

“These are the questions I would ask at the town hall.” ~ John Fast

Fortunately you have the opportunity to ask those questions if not covered in the Town Hall presentation.

At the Exchange, Chris N. emphasized triArc Town Hall presentation is based on member input and usage data. She said board did not participate in the process.

She said board did not participate in the process. ~EO

I think she meant board did not sit in on Triarc interview process. The Board most definitely participated in the process. The questions will be sent to the board today. (9/11 Never Forget)

“I think she meant board did not sit in on Triarc interview process” Speculation?

“The Board most definitely participated in the process. The questions will be sent to the board today.” You know this, how? What questions, the member input, comments gathered by TriARC?

May we communicate on this topic civilly? The questions clearly refer to the questions I posted. Yes, I do know the Board participated in the Mountainview process. I saw them walking into a meeting with Triarc. Are you suggesting that the Board did not participate? In any event, my inquiries have always been about looking at the centers as a whole and not individually and making sure the Board is sincerely trying to find the will of the majority and not just appeasing special interests. They are spending money I, and you, paid.

Apologize, John, regarding THE questions being sent to the board today.

Regret you considered my reply uncivil.

Did not realize you meant your questions, rather than TriARC questions being sent to the board, as further evidence of their participation in the process.
