My bad again Bill. Guess the master plan group is being called a team, not a committee. Unless I missed something?
Goal #1 Master Plan: COMPLETED The next step has been handed over to the Master Plan team comprised of: Board President, Tom Foster; Board Vice President, Chris Nettesheim; Board Directors, Rick Gray and Jim Rough; Director of Operations, Mike Dirmyer; LRP Committee members, Susan Bjork and Kelly Martinez. 5 against 2!?!? That's about typical!

We had the great opportunity to be in great company last night with other members of our great community. Lots of new information and sharing of ideas is always apprecited and helpful when trying to rebuild our sense of community. The people that are showing up and being involved is such a great incentive to be aware of the needs and opportunities that are evidenced all around us. The planning for our community room is clearly a good sign of the progress being made by the efforts of the members. I thank everyone for their time to come and participated yesterday evening. I surely appreciated everyone's input. And thank you Bill Pearson for being a fine moderator once again.
Speaking of gathering information about the community space/area/room, what are your thoughts about what should be included in the space? This is one of the questions asked and is the topic for the next community meeting. So I will ask you to consider sharing your thoughts and suggestions for the community space, and bring them to the discussion at the next meeting.
August 21st @ 3:00 o'clock in the Sonora Room at Sun City Grand Recreation Center. Spread the word. These unofficial gathering of concerned Members who love Sun City and who's only desire is to simply return Sun City to the once great community oriented community where you knew and watched out for your neighbor and neighborhood. Although these Gatherings have nothing to do with the RCSC Board or Management and are simply a Gathering of concerned Members, rumors have it that the Board is listening from afar! All we ask is that the Membership has more influence and input on the future of Sun City. After all, it is the Members who are the sole purpose and reason behind the corporation, so doesn't it make sense that we have an opportunity to let our voices be heard? Topics at issue are: A desire for a Community Room where Members can just go at any time and hang-out without needing special permission or a 30 day request to use the space. Methods of personally Welcoming new Members rather than just handing them a folder full of brochures! Who remembers the old days when the Visitor Center had a van to show potential Members all the great facilities Sun City has to offer? Who knows about the old monthly coffee gatherings for new Members? We are, after all, "The Community that Changed the Nation." Mark your calendars, spread the word. Hope to see you at the next Gathering 3.0!
Maybe post a synopsis of the meeting. How many attended, items discussed, ideas presented from residents. Giving a "flavor" of each meeting might entice more to want to attend.
