Too bad they didn't go into the details of what they are looking for. Was this the only blurb posted anywhere? As I said in a previous post, I am no longer receiving the E-mail Blasts. I wonder how many Members actually get the blasts. Jean Totten
Jean, This would be a position to fill the vacancy, so the same qualifications would be requested as those needed to apply to be a board member. I know the ideal situation would be for someone to apply who also has the interest and intention to seek election to the board as a regular board member in the next election. My opinion only.
I have so many posts here on TOSC that my beliefs, opinions and hopes for Sun City are out there for all to see. When I have been wrong, I have tried to correct myself and apologize. I have tried to be as honest and transparent with my views as possible and have tried to answer questions as they arose. I make no apologies for wanting a positive outcome for Sun City and feel it can be easily achieved by allowing the members to have a voice and a stake in making our community a stellar place to live again. That’s my preface to letting everyone know I submitted my resume for consideration for the open position yesterday. I have deliberated for over 24 hours if I would make that decision public or not because of all of my shared thoughts, experiences and feelings. I fully expect to be lambasted by some for doing this action, but I am truly hoping to be a small cog in the wheels of progress for the short term remaining. Note: I applied, nowhere does it say I will even be considered, based upon what I have posted. There could also be an unknown rule that in this particular instance, former board members will not be considered. There are any number of reasons I will not be selected for an interim position. The primary reason exists in these pages. I hope there are qualified candidates who submit who would be able to continue to run for election for next year. I am a retread who has a one year availability to hold office. No open positions coming up that I know of with only a one year term. So I put this out there for all to see. I am an open book, just read my pages.

Thank you for your kind words. I would be honored to be able to serve again, in this special need. We shall see how this goes, moving forward. I would like the opportunity to be of service to the board and the members of this community.
