The Challenger Space Center is an interesting place especially for kids.

On select weekends, it hosts an entertaining and interactive astronomy night that is fun for the whole family.

It is located about 15 minutes from Sun City.

Mapquest 21170 North 83rd Avenue, Peoria AZ 85382 for directions.
Or call 623-833-2001 for more information.

Los Angeles got the Endeavor. I saw it going down the street from the airport to the museum. It was quite a feat, many trees were cut and lines temporarily removed because they didn't want to take off the wing. Most of the museums who got a shuttle display them in horizontal position but LA put the Endeavor vertical like on the launch pad.

I was born and raised in California and watched that.
I will try to post info of the Endeavor.

They offer programs for an extra fee that create scenarios like trying to redirect a meteor, etc. and you can make believe you are part of the crew--simulations based on different scenarios. Sounds like it would be fun. Has anyone ever done any of these?
