Our Rec Center Monitors and Maintenance crew have a new look -- and very nice, I might add. Wonderful looking shirts that make our Sun City look - - totally happy and almost like Resort-style living....Well - - we are just that ! The change is a nice sight. :star:
I agree--very nice. Hawaiian style shirts always look so happy. I'm surprised more people out here don't wear them. On casual Fridays at the university, the entire Biology Dept. would wear them as their "uniform" and it really conveyed the spirit of TGIF.
I know there was a pic in one of the latest papers, but I also think they sent one around to those on the mailing list, but I no longer have either. However, that reminds me to encourage people to get on RCSC's mailings list since it's handy to be reminded of pool closings for maintenance, new projects, upcoming events, etc.
I get the SCRC newsletters via email, and random notification of stuff going on in the various centers.... I must have missed it.
How could we make you wait until November Archer? I had to rummage through my recycling bin for this, so consider yourself in my debt :greedy_dollars: LOL Here you go:
Hey thanks.....Ok, I like the shirts, although "uniforms" is a pretty stuffy name for such fun shirts. At least in November when I see the shirts I won't think there was a luau I wasn't invited to.
Yeah "uniforms" does sound stuffy and these shirts are not. Hey, a luau wouldn't be a bad idea for a themed gathering. Know they have hula dancers in the area and a ukelele club, staff has shirts--most of us do too. Activity Director should be reading this....
A luau would be fun. At their August meeting, the Handicapables Club of Sun City had hula dancers. They were excellent. Members wore Hawaiian shirts/dresses and some even had leis. Dessert was a frozen pineapple filled with ice cream. Delicious. I still have the ukelele that I had in high school. Yep! I'm a saver.
Me too pegmih. I have a collection of costume-type things in an old suitcase just in case an occasion comes up. Of course some would say my regular garb is a costume LOL
