Let The Sun Shine In

Just finished my DQ Sunday, there’s something magical about ice cream. Put a whole lot of chocolate on top and the whole world becomes magical. Kind of like Bill and his cup of coffee. There’s something special when seeing Bill with his coffee, it’s as if the world is good.
Those small reminders are just how grand life can be when we take the time to appreciate the things in life that make it a little better.
Which is why I am going to go down a path we need to look at more carefully. Enjoyment is a very powerful tool for living our best life. We should be able to enjoy life alone, with others or whatever works for you. Me, I enjoy good Italian food and having my life back as mine. I would thoroughly enjoy and appreciate a comprehensive strategy for this community moving forward. So, the hard questions: how do we do this? Is this a board function or one for an adhoc committee? What is an example of the needs to be addressed? What timeframe is acceptable for a committee to put together a plan? What is the appropriate time frame for a comprehensive plan to be? Should this plan be set up as a general purpose or be a living document to be adopted and adhered to? Do we finally say we want to be a Title 33 community and take SCW lead?
This is what I consider a good lead in for community action. We can, and have, beat the sun drenched bones of this topic. Who can this think tank action be directed to in order to get much needed attention generated?
Would love to hear productive, action and goal oriented discussion. Keep the discussion up beat and on topic. Would truly love to hear positive feedback and ideas.

 

Yup, nothing better than a good cup of coffee these days SCG. I certainly won't suggest i've become a minimalist, but i have embraced a life of staying close to home and without the needs of many. I do focus on how we can make Sun City more than it is and frankly it starts with each of us. For the lovers, it should be doable, the haters, not so much so.

The good news is there are way more people who love it here than those that don't. John's right, getting past the me and becoming the we is our biggest challenge.

 

My Sunny snack is a low carb seasoned veggie platter with goat and brie cheese and homemade hummus or plain Greek yogurt. Splurging would be adding a blueberry smoothie. Good stuff!

It was a Christmas present from one of my oldest friends. I have had the bottle for 9 years and still is over 1/3 full. He is a retired attorney who did very well. No, you can’t have any. Not easy to find here, online maybe. I also have a 16 year old Lagavulin I bought in a duty free shop at the Amsterdam airport many years ago and an 18 year old Glenlivet I bought at the Brussels airport duty free in the early 90’s. I made a good salary then and had 5 weeks vacation so I could travel.

 

If you paid attention you would not have to be argumentative. I found the family fortune hidden in the walls. Brie is $5 and goat is $3.50.

I have gone over the last few threads and every single one was hijacked each time by the same person. Does not stay on topic, attacks the author and so demeaning and vile to read. This same person believes the moderators are just sitting by and watching for foul language. I truly hope and trust they can see the detrimental effect her continued behavior has on those of us desiring to share like thoughts and enjoy shared ideas.
When starting a new thread, there’s usually a title listed. Not one that I read was “Hijack my thread please and attack anyone who posts”.
To the moderators, please note that 1 person seems to feel it’s their duty to undo and undermine every single post and poster.
Freedom of speech means everyone can have a voice and not be ridiculed or attacked for using it. Doesn’t make sense to try to have any more threads started by this user, as it too, will not stay on topic and be hijacked for her personal pity party.

I don't have coffee at home (except on Bro Brek Day) so it's always a treat to visit a friend, like today, and score a cup. A trip to the Library Book Sore was a great way to burn off that coffee rush.

There isn’t enough space to highlight every single thread you hijack or commandeer. You feel by making one single comment about your favorite food undoes all of the attacks on people’s comments? It’s relentless when you start picking apart comments and turn them into woe is you moaning.
I can’t believe you would accuse someone of harassment when one merely needs to read what you post. My comments are statements of fact as evidenced by what you say in these threads, and no one is immune to being demeaned by you.

I was so excited to be able to share and participate with the posters offering ways to help and support the community. One thing I always missed about TOSC was the ability to exchange ideas with dissenting voices but at least respect the other person’s opinion or understand where they stood on an issue. You just barge in, change the narrative to whatever suits you, damned the rest of the conversation.
I think as long as you continue to hijack the topics, making it almost impossible to continue to share ideas on point as well as use TOSC as your platform for personal denigration of others, I don’t need to continue to read the BS you type.

As you once posted, it doesn’t go away just because you want it to. Do make sure when speaking to legal counsel you truly represent your involvement in the exact wording you have used, in what context, and how you feel you are vindicated by your own words and actions.

I have not done anything close to defamation, as there are way too many of your writings to substantiate exactly what I said.

It’s a problem because this is a perfect example of how you feel your stepping all over an existing thread and hijacking it is okay.
You are going to keep it up ad nauseum. I am not going to continue as I produced some evidence of what I eluded to. It would now be up to you to prove that every thing I said is not true.
