It was nice to see the Cardinals win this afternoon. Everytime they take the lead i get a beer and they came through today!
CT, sorry this is ex post facto but the Cards always find a way to come from behind and lose in important games. Trade Kyle Murray
Although Murry had a negative moment he was not (opinion) the reason the Cards lost today. That at the beginning of the second quarter they's had eight penalties that helped put them in a hole that they never really got over. They did get to overtime but by them the writing had already appeared on the wall.
I found the most humorous part of the second quarter and the penalties was when the booth announcers pointed out that the Cards were the least penalized team in the NFL. Right after that the Cards had the yellow hankie thrown against them and then the dam broke. Two things struck me about the Cards in this game, one they underestimated their opponent. They thought this would be an easy win. Second, they just seemed unprepared and when they were down by 20 points, unsure what to do. They played catch up all day. Before the season started I thought the Cards were essentially a.500 team with maybe an outside chance for the playoffs. No matter what happens the last two games, my prediction was essentially true. That said they do have great offense weapons and need to have Harrison do more than run wind sprints all day. OL could use some help and a bit on defense. Next year does look brighter if they don’t waste draft choices. Being from Chicago and a Bears fan, why didn’t they draft Bo Nix is beyond me. There is always the Cubs (hysterical background laughter) this year.
