Is it just my imagination or has Lake Pleasant been having more drownings in the past few years. I think there was another one today.
It is a hot time during our summer ! ! Many drownings & boater accidents always happen at the Lakes and Lake Pleasant... Been going on forever.. People want recreation and then they add a few beers or drinks -- HOT SUN makes them dehydrate... A terrible mix... Just have to have common sense when near any water areas.. THEN - think of all of the backyard pool drownings that just continually happen every summer -- even with that common Quote from Newscasters: "Watch Your Kids Around Water" - - People get busy with their "thing" and accidents happen. Fire Dept. even offered, at one time, Free Pool Fences -- - or at least they used to --- for qualified people.... It happens - - just got to be cautious. I think with our media coverage -- we hear more and more ---constantly !
