Wonder if there are any ideas being thrown around for the spa they closed at Bell Rec....

I shudder to think about what and how much money. The new Fairway desk is costing $84,000.

The worst thing would be to let it sit empty.

    …work in progress

    Destination R & R Station (relax/recover)
For RCSC members whatever their abilities!!
    • After center exercise, sport, or club activity
    • Reward after household, yard chores
    • Recovery after a bad night’s sleep
    • Connect with or make friends
Relax-Recover: Semi circle of head to toe massage chairs generously spaced between each chair, similar to pedicure chairs without the foot bath. People create their own “peace” by using their own devices to listen to music, ear plugs to mute all sounds.

Refresh- Casual cafe style tables & chairs with combo beverage & snacks vending machine facing opposite side of massage area.

Ambiance- Large monitor or white board looped with video scenes of nature, no audio, provides “mental vacation” experience.

    Are these suggestions from members?

No answer. So after a hard day at yard work you will shower, get dressed to go out and relax? I am sitting on the sofa with a good book and possibly a glass of wine.

    Bad night's sleep?.........sorry, got nothing

I love the R&R suggestion which was indeed submitted by a member--I read it on Nextdoor and asked about it after a RCSC mtg., as well as the possibility of a sauna, but was told mold and maintenance issues that made the spa close would also be a problem for sauna, so that would not be considered. An R&R room sounds like a good idea to me, esp. if it included massage chairs like they have at the mall or those tables that work the same way. Many cannot afford massages since they have gone up so much, so why not have an alternative like this? I know it helped my sciatica. I hope they'd add windows to look out at the pool area to avoid the boxed in feeling. Ideally, a little fountain and live plants would add some nice ambiance, but I fear the specter of mold would squelch that....
