I just got a message and it is spot on, lets see the written policy regarding absentee ballots only being allowed by members of the election committee. Too freaking funny, except it's not...it is pathetic.

They couldn't possibly allow the candidates to do it. That would make too much sense!

The bigger, better question is: Have they allowed some candidates the ability to do it? Board members need to demand to see how many of these sheets have been circulated and by whom' immediately. We need to know how much damage was done to running a fair and impartial election. Damn, i can almost hear the shredding machine running as i type.

I'm glad Steve got it in the record today! Did you notice how easily it just slid right by with no acknowledgement?

What is Cook’s crusade against all food and beverages NOT being allowed at select sports? He spoke twice trying to defend it. Uh, wonder if he wrote it? Wilson presented. He couldn’t believe the board was not all in! Denying water to participants, this is Arizona!!
    D e h y d r a t I o n, anyone?
Thankfully, McAdam introduced the common sense amendment, “Excluding water, food and drink are not allowed…” Ultimately it passed.
    As originally presented:
    Pickleball
    1. Food or beverages of any kind are not allowed within the court enclosures.
    Racquetball/Handball
    1. Food or beverages of any kind are not allowed within the court enclosures.
    Table Tennis
    1. Food or beverages of any kind are not allowed within the playing areas.

Kudos to Steve Collins for amending Lenefsky’s motion to $4000.
Passed 8 YES, 1 NO (Wilson)
Secretary Lenefsky – I move to approve $3,000 to be paid to the Sun City Posse for their continued assistance with event parking in 2023.

The $3k payment is pretty minimal to begin with...and then Wilson voting no on the increase is downright embarrassing. RCSC is 1.5 million ahead of projected income for the year. What gives?

I think we need to strengthen the committee process. And dilute the power of the Board President to reduce the abuses we've seen. Maybe not allowing Pres to assign themselves as Chair of any committee (or Hearing Commission)? Maybe Co-Chairs are one Board and one General Member - with always odds numbers to vote thru any roadblocks? We need more committees to keep more people involved - and keep more eyes on what's still happening behind the scenes.

Wow, the plot thickens as it appears the board president may not have been the first to solicit signatures from potential voters on RCSC property for absentee ballots. Lots of digging to do yet and the best thing that can come from this fiasco is the recommendation made at the election committee meeting and presented to the RCSC board with the minutes and date of their approval. Clearly, no chair of that committee has the authority to do something so devious without approval of the board. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out does it?

Until we know exactly how many requests were secured and recommendations made as who to vote for by the "neutral chair of the election committee," we simply don't know how tainted this election has become.

And when you question those actions all you get is, "Well, we did this 9 years ago too," like it was also okay 9 years ago!

What kind of answer is that? What was the decision that was made 9 years ago, and who made that decision or was it just another spur-of-the-moment brainstorm to rig the election?

If nothing else, these kinds of decisions and rules need to be documented as Board Policies so that EVERYBODY knows the rules of the game. You can't just make shit up on the fly so that it only benefits you!
