Is anyone but me watching the series Under the Dome on CBS? After reading the book (by Stephen King) I was afraid the series wouldn't be nearly as good, but I am pleasantly surprised at how faithful to the feel of the book the series is, though they have toned it down some for prime time. Some of the characters are almost exactly what I imagined they would look when I read the book.

I watched it for the first two weeks, but today didn't bother. Week one I enjoyed it as it was mysterious but week two just seemed like any other drama with people fighting and interacting amongst themselves with no new clues as to the origin of the dome or any new build-up of suspense, so I was too disappointed to watch tonight. Book prob better, but my reading list is just too long right now to give that one a try.

My husband and I have been watching it as well. He read the book, I did not. For some reason it is hard for me to read Stephen King, but I love his movies. . . My husband is keeping it all a secret and not letting me know what is going on or why.

I have not watched it but sounds like may be worth DVR'ing it.

The TV series is starting to vary quite a bit from the book, but so far, although many of the plots and characters are changed, the feeling of novel is still there. I read Stephen Kings opinion on the changes made to his book for the mini-series and found it interesting. He approves of the series and the changes made to his novel....he likened it to alternate versions of the same reality.
