In addition to fighting fires, the Sun City has a variety of special programs. Click HERE to learn more about them. You can even see what they have done so far this year and in past years.
The lock box is a good idea. I read about a capsule (I think they called it that), where you put all your information about you and give it to various agencies if case something happens to you. It might have been associated with dogs. I found it once somewhere on the website and now I can't find it. Do you know what I'm talking about?
I have a lockbox and encourage others to get one. The cost is about $50. A bargain. A friend fell at home crawled to the phone and dialed 911. Responders had to break down the door & it cost her mucho $. She now has a lockbox There is a capsule that is orange and looks like a pill bottle. There is one for people to enter information. You do not give it to anyone but keep it at home. I have one in my frig and one in my car. There is a note you put on frig and in my case in car to alert responder to 911 call. There is also one for dogs. I believe they are both available at the Posse and Visitor Center. Give them a call to find out.
The house we just moved into in Phase II has a lock box near the front door. If I call the Sun City Fire Department, do you think they will open it and put our house key in it?
The "capsule" is called The Vial of Life. There is one for people and another for dogs. I believe both are available at the Sun City Posse - summer hours 9-noon. Telephone 972-2555 They might also be available at the Visitor Center. Same summer hours. Telephone 977-5000
That's such a good idea. I also saw an online service R.U.O.K. I have thought about this type of service before, that it would be good, and voila...SCAZ has it. Do you know about that?
