Easy Rider. Looks like Jack is pretty much the Last Man Standing. Other actors in the film include Peter Fonda (February 23, 1940 – August 16, 2019), Dennis Hopper (May 17, 1936 – May 29, 2010), Karen Black (July 1, 1939 – August 8, 2013), Warren Finnerty (April 9, 1925 – December 22, 1974), Francis Luke Askew (March 26, 1932 – March 29, 2012), Luana Anders (May 12, 1938 – July 21, 1996), Robert Walker Jr. (April 15, 1940 – December 5, 2019), and Michael Pataki (January 16, 1938 – April 15, 2010). Oh yes, Bridget Jane Fonda Elfman is an uncredited 5 year old child in the commune. Time does fly, it’s good to be alive (but ask me again after the Cards game).

Today's covid deaths were an Indian politician and a Spanish RC bishop. And in the world's Covid Olympics the USA continues to lead in most categories, with India and Brazil struggling to keep up. We are, of course, led by our peerless leader who caught the sickness, but like Jesus, arose in three days and is off fighting the good fight. Or something.

Hey Carptrash - Listing all the deaths is hardly the bright(er) side of COVID. Perhaps a new thread titled "The Dark(est) Side of COVID" is needed.

Finally went out to eat which was the first time since March. Was pleased at the social distancing, cleanliness and absence of items that may have been touched by other patrons. It did make me nervous and won't do it again for quite some time. My cooking has ventured into new techniques & recipes which have probably been 90% successful. I can't wait to get back to the point where eating out is once again safe. Let some one else do the prep, clean-up and dishes!!

We miss going out to eat as well, but fear that the distancing you found is not necessarily the norm. A friend told us he meets a group for breakfast every week at a popular restaurant in Peoria -- a dozen or so SC residents sitting side by side/face to face. To us that's playing Russian roulette with Covid. Granted, the probability is small that any of them are infected but, if by chance one is, the probability is very high the result could be deadly since they are mask-less in a confined area for an extended period of time. Also, it's curious that the restaurant isn't adhering to social distancing guidelines? We've eaten at that restaurant 3-4 times a year for almost 20-years, but we likely won't in the future.

My idea of eating at a restaurant is drivethrough or delivered. Which is more than I have done in many years. I'm a stay-at-home kind of a guy anyway.
    Meanwhile . . .
a few youngish wikipedia covid deaths.
Pollycarpus Priyanto, 59, Indonesian convicted murderer, COVID-19.
Itzhak Ilan, 64, Israeli security official, deputy director of Shin Bet (2010–2011), COVID-19.
Kapil Deo Kamat, 69, Indian politician, Bihar MLA (2005–2010, since 2015), COVID-19.

I was surprised to see what I will call a "Biden-Harris" parade today, lots of cars and golf carts. Unfortunately I was not able to get my camera out in time. I asume that the trump-Pense folks will do something similar, i hope witha little fore warning. Like, here?

Be forewarned!! There's supposed to be a Trump/Lesko Victory(????) Parade on Saturday the 24th starting at the Greenway Terrace parking lot. There's a small article in the Independent regarding this absurd rally. Victory?? Why not wait to see if they have something to celebrate? Oh....I know. It's a lure to have a "peaceful protest" so that mask wearing and social distancing won't be necessary. Sun City now is showing 834 cases reported as of this morning.

We'll stay home thank you. Just goes to show you why we need a change in government that shows even a modest effort to protect the health of our residents. Shame on Debbie Lesko and those that choose to participate.

Forgot that this should show a bit of brightness during this otherwise dark time. We had these bulbs that would send off long green shoots each year and didn't know what they were. We were tempted to remove the dead looking bulbs that sat at the top of the ground and good thing we didn't. For the first time in 20 years we noticed a long stem that produced 7 gorgeous amaryllis blooms without a single leaf sprouting. A sign that things will get better like a rainbow after a storm?

I suspect that this is fear on their part that this might be the only "Victory" that they get. My trump friends are already resigned to loosing and watching Biden sink the country into a quicksand of socialism. And I am told, "Socialism has always led to communism!? When asked to supply one example in all of history where socialism has led to communism I get blank looks because Tucker has never explained that.

  18. Well CT, been awhile since I posted. Have been seeing my battalion of doctors who say I am fine. Also have been taking care of my Significant Other/Life Partner Diane, through her cataract surgeries and recovery. She has been cat sitting while her youngest daughter’s family go house hunting. Strange cat, sleeps way too much, like her substitute home is an opium den or crash pad.

Been getting texts to vote for Kathy Knecht and Ptomaine Truck Kevin Payne. Met him once and I can safely say that if you put his brain in a canary, it would fly backwards. I voted for myself for the House and also for State Senate in lieu of Rick Gray who seems to never have a real job. Met Debbie and Rick several years ago and you may be surprised that we did not hit it off. I asked Debbie if she was the State Chairperson of ALEC and she is definitely the Queen of fake outrage. It took a few follow ups before she admitted she was in that position. Then Rick took over by saying it was just a lobbying group like any other. I responded by saying they buy State governments and I know you a member of this group. As for just being a lobbying group, and hell is just a warm place. Republicans, cannot live with but will have a better life without them.

Flush the turds on November 3rd.
