Isn't it time to invoke the 25th Amendment?

I don't disagree with "greed" but it's hard not to want to add modifying words to add context. My word would have been "competitive" -- not entirely different than greed -- chicken or egg in a sense.

That is "competitive" as opposed to "co-operative?"

yes, "competitive". I think competitiveness drives one to want to acquire (or deny) something that someone else either already has or desires to have. I'd say it's a natural instinct -- toddlers fight over toys, grownups acquire things with a "he with the most toys wins" attitude, politicians gather power and conquer people/nations, businesses are driven to gain market share over their "competitors". Anything gained in excess is greed if others are wanting of it. I guess you could consider either the motivator of the other, competitive vs greed.

What is . . .... interesting about "competitiveness" is that my rightist friends in the "Left Wing Right Wing" focus group I belong to say that this ("competitiveness") is what made America great. If not great again.

I agree... competition is a significant driver of capitalism, which is one driver of the US's "greatness". But it depends on your yardstick for "greatness", too. Judging greatness on wealth alone eventually fails because wealth is measured by ownership... money, property, natural resources, output.... alliances, military, population, human rights, freedom and many other factors contribute to greatness too. It's complex and different groups measure greatness with different yardsticks. If you measure greatness by GDP we're #1, but by most other measures were 10 or lower... GNI the US is in the vicinity of #10, life expectancy we're something like #42, quality of life #15.

Yes, it is a bit like judging the US Economy, as my Rightist friends are prone to doing, by the Stock Market. This does not tell the whole story by a long shot.

I have a really dumb question, but I trust there are folks on here which will know the high points of what I am asking and may be able to answer.

The closer it gets to the election, the more information is coming out about the Russians and Trump rigging the election to his favor in order to win back in 2016. There is also the Mueller document with further proves these allegations. As we move forward and see the bulk of the cabinet also being tried for crimes against the country, is it possible to take all of this collusion and make it into a case of treason and remove tRump before the November election by the Supreme Court?

I really don't know if there is a rule of law which could make this happen, but I thought I would ask those much more in tune with history and the constitution than I am.

    Thank You

I don't think that there is a good way to do this, it is sort of annoying that the Democrats used up their impeachment card on such a stupid thing, knowing that it would not work. I also suspect that the Supreme Court is out of the picture in terms of getting him out. So now the question is what will the November election look like.

    Peg,

A bot got on the system and overwrote everything in Vietnamese, apparently. It will take some time to get some additional threads going to remove the garbage from the site.

The simplest and most efficient way to remove Trump from office is to vote him out. There are two groups currently working to see that Trump is not re-elected.
One is The Lincoln Project and the other is a group of lifelong Republicans who do not want Trump re-elected.

The presidential vote is important, but our sitting congress has done nothing for the past 20 years and must be removed.

If you don't vote at all you are pretty much saying you don't care if Trump is re-elected or not. If you don't vote for Biden you are giving trump another vote.
If you vote against all sitting incumbents (Red or Blue) you will be telling incumbents they have not done their jobs and they are FIRED.

You might be tempted to say "lets get term limits", but show me one politician who is willing to cut his throat and even suggest such a thing.

It is interesting to to see that you don't include the Democratic Party here.

"The presidential vote is important, but our sitting congress has done nothing for the past 20 years and must be removed."
And your solution is to elect as President someone who personifies the "do nothing" nature of the last 20 years and for VP someone who is part of the group you say "must be removed."
"If you don't vote for Biden you are giving trump another vote." Wrong, when I don't vote for Biden I don't give trump a vote. Voting for him would do that. I will be giving my vote to someone who would like to point the country in a direction that I'd like to see it go in rather than maintaining the same course that, by your own reckoning, has done nothing for 20 years. Actually (ie, my opinion) it has been much longer than that.
"If you vote against all sitting incumbents (Red or Blue) you will be telling incumbents they have not done their jobs and they are FIRED." Yet both Biden & Harris are for all practical measures, incumbents.
