Dang gang; appears as if we made it through the heat of the summer months and the cooler days of the fall are just around the corner. You can tell by the amount of traffic on the streets, the rec centers are drawing bigger crowds, the Sun Bowl shows have begun and of course the one most ignore; the process of self governance has started again.

Just looked at my calendar for the week and damned if it isn't full of "fun" things to do. SCHOA board meeting this morning at 9am. Back again at 1 pm for a meeting of the CC&R review committee. Thursday is the regular monthly board meeting for the RCSC at 9am and on Friday is the open SCHOA meeting for the CC&R committee at 10am.

To insure i stay engaged i will run over to Sun City Grand for the meet and greet with the democratic candidates from 2 to 4 pm on Sat. On Monday are the two town hall meetings regarding the Mountainview Rec Center rebuild. Weds is the meet the candidates in Sun City by the democratic club at 6:30 at Sun Dial auditorium. On the 4th and 5th i have opened our homes to a group from Hong Kong to see Sun City and some properties.

The following week should be good as well, starting off with the board/member exchange at Lakeview Monday morning at 9 am. During the month the RCSC will host two candidate forums for board members, watch for dates.

And if that's not enough for you, the US Open for Lawn Bowling will be in Sun City starting November 3. A long time friend from Nova Scotia called and one of their team pulled out of two events and asked me to join them. That means getting out and rolling bowls for an hour a day, plus of course the two hour work-outs at the Bell gym every day.

How the heck does it get any better than that...and then people wonder why Sun City is the best place on the planet to live. Nice.

Thanks for the kind words C, but my only interest is keeping Sun City a great place to live...just like so many before have done. Living here is all about giving back.

Funny, as i was sitting in the SCHOA board meeting yesterday, i swear i heard mention of at least another half dozen dates of coming meetings and stuff to get involved in. When i get around to it, i will post them.

Just curious, how are some of you all filling your days as we get to the better weather?
