Click HERE to see the best gas prices in Sun City. Most take credit card. I usually go to Frys on Grand but they are often quite busy. Sometimes I go to Circle K on Bell and they are never busy. After doing some research, I have read that you should fill up your car/truck in the morning when temperature is cool. Reason given: storage tanks are below ground and the colder the ground, the denser the gasoline. When it gets warmer, gasoline expands. So if you are filling up later in the day, what should be a gallon is not exactly a gallon. Also, fill up when gas tank is half-full because the more gas you have in your tank the less air there is and gasoline evaporates rapidly, especially when it's warm. And when isn't it in Sun City? Now, is that more than you wanted to know?????
Here is another heads up about putting gas in car that I didn't know until now. If you look at the trigger, you'll see that it has 3 delivery settings: slow, medium and high (never noticed that). You should be pumping at the slow setting minimizing vapors created while pumping. At the high setting, the agitated gasoline contains more vapor which is being sucked back into the underground tank so you are getting less gas for your money. Another meaning for the word "agitated". Hope this will help ease the "pain at the pump" although it is not as bad now as it has been. Would somebody please correct me if the above is wrong? Thank you.
Last week when my tank was 1/2 full I filled up at Frys The gas was $3.39 a gal. My original post includes prices at several places. To get more lists, Google "Gas Prices in Sun City, AZ"
