Yep, I gave up calling to get appointments for our dogs, always not accepting new patients. We just changed to Dr. Montana on 107th and Olive. Like his style, does everything in front of you, so you can see what treatments are being rendered. Also more reasonable then our former vet service. Thanks for the heads up, good news about accepting new patients.
Dr. Charlie Sink is my favorite vet of all time. That's saying something because we never had kids so dogs became our "children," and we had more than our share. About a year ago during a visit to Charlie he reminded me of the first time we met. He said he'll never forget how before he was even open in his first shop i walked up, introduced myself and told him he was making a huge mistake. He got a terrified look on his face and asked why? I replied, this store front is way too small and you won't be able to handle all of the Sun City traffic you would be getting. He thought then i was nuts, not so much now that he had to double his space. When we moved from MN we were horrified by both the quality of care and the ridiculous prices they were charging. We seldom saw the same vet twice because they moved around non-stop. And seriously there were minutes after paying the bill i wanted to strangle them for what they were charging for what they were doing. Maybe twice what MN rates were. Charlie had owned his own place in Colorado (i think) and retired but became bored. He started working part time at some of the same shops we visited. He too was stunned by what he saw and knew he could open a clinic and offer better quality at far more affordable prices. The only time i was disappointed in him was when he was not taking new patients. In the end, he was just trying to take care of his current customers. If you are looking for a great vet, Grand Paws is the best. In fact, headed of with Sybil to see him in the next couple of hours.
Sad. Were they your Cavalier Spaniels? I remember you had a difficult trip with them when you moved to SC.
He cleaned my shih Tzu's teeth. The next time I went to the clinic, I got a different vet. Didn't care for him as much as Dr. Sink.
