I'll try to follow up on this to see why this was changed. It's a big mistake to move it to the Masonic Temple and say this is a Sun City event. It may have a Sun City zip code but it's not part of the Sun City Senior Overlay area. This will also eliminate about 75% of people that won't drive that far in the evening....especially if they normally use golf carts. Poor, poor choice by the event planners if they made the decision to move this event.

Moderate Republicans are not represented by the candidate, Lesko in #AZ08. Lesko's votes on Education have been horrendous.
The majority of Dr. Hiral's money for her campaign has come from the people. She is holding town halls and the other candidate is having a fundraiser for minimum donation of $2500
People will be at Sun Dial to transport people to the new location. The change was just announced yesterday.
Let me start by saying, i have never seen Dr. Hiral in person until last night. I've read her platform, seen her commercials and have been impressed. Last evenings event took it to a whole other level. I spent most of my working life around politicians. It was one of the reasons i have stayed as far away from it/them once moving to AZ as i could. Most leave me frustrated as they love to hear themselves talk, seldom listen and are either egomaniacs or a candidate convinced to run because no one else would. I suspect many of us feel that way because so few of us vote these days. I went intending to listen, to see if she was the real deal or just another packaged politician looking for our vote and a contribution. I was blown away. First and foremost, she listened to what people were saying/asking her. Almost to the point of distraction. Some of the comments were spot on and she seemed to be so intent on digesting it, she got sidetracked in answering them. That's a good thing, because it showed me they weren't just a bunch of canned answers written by her speech writers. She seemed humble and given her accomplishments as both an immigrant (she came to the USA as a three year old), and as a female in a male dominated profession, that was admirable. She clearly didn't need to run for the self-gratification, but because she felt she had something to give back. And at the risk of sounding sexist, which i am not, she is drop dead attractive. And while that shouldn't matter in politics, it does. I left encouraged and excited by her as a democratic candidate in a republican district. Odd as it may sound, she can win this race. She is that impressive. If you are tired of the same old same old of politicians, Dr. Hiral is a new breed of candidate and deserves an honest look by anyone sick of what is going on in politics today.
