My husband and I just moved to Phase II from Surprise, AZ. Although we just moved to Sun City, we have lived in the Valley of the Sun for most of our lives. My husband is retired and I still work full time. We look forward to enjoying all that Sun City has to offer. We like music, so I have a questions about the 2nd and 4th Saturday Rock and Roll Dance at one of the recreational centers. Interested in hearing if any of you have been to the dance and did you have fun?

Welcome to Sun City. My mom's hospice nurse was an active dancer at all things dance in Sun City. She really seemed to enjoy herself.

Peg, Doug and I want to go to the dance. Have you been? Or know of anyone who goes?

.What a nice facility! Of course I could not find my swimming suit since I moved to Sun City -- maybe I need to go to Beal's.

    Swim Suit

I have purchased 4 suits for myself and 2 for a friend on line from Swim and Sweat.
They cost about $50 and the company has a good return policy. Watch for sales.
At Ma's in Surprise a similar suit is $100.

The suits are chlorine resistant. I get the krinkle suits with skirt in front.

I don't know much about the dance. When I work at the SC Visitor Center on Wednesday afternoons, I see the people leaving the afternoon dance. They seem to have fun. But you are probably interested in evening dances. Right?

Yes, I told Doug we need to check it out. We used to go to "Nifty Fifties", when we lived in Glendale. We really enjoyed the 50s to 90's music. I hope we will enjoy it when we get to go.

Just got back from the BRC, this time I was able to do some laps in the pool as well as do some pool walking. Feeling good.

The Tuesday Afternoon Dance is the "Tea Dance". It is a ballroom dance with a live performer that plays Big Band Music ! It is very nice !
Sunday & Wednes Evenings are Ballroom Dances at Bell -- with more of a D.J. Type Host that plays Ballroom -- Big-Band Music.

Friday and Saturday nights are Ballroom Dances at Sundial Rec with great Live Big Band Music :joyous: -- good entertainers. Ballroom attire...dress code.

The Ballroom Dances offer Dance Lessons -- check schedule for this - - most are given free before the dance actually begins.

Saturday nites - - either at Bell or Fairway -- Rock N. Roll Dances to D.J. Music.

Check the Sun City Independent Newspaper for exact times, locations & entertainers.
