The other day a Sun City resident spotted a major gaff our publication The Best Is Yet To Come. I had missed it and as as soon as he said it, i knew we had made a mistake. I've been doing these kinds of magazines/papers for years know and it's almost inevitable stuff happens. Rather than lament and worry about it, let's make a game of it and see who can identify our error. Here's a link to the The Best Is Yet To Come in case you don't have your own copy. You can pick the magazines up at the Sun City Visitor Center or at the Lakeview Rec Center Club's office.
Yes I noticed that Arnold Palmer didn't look the same.Him and Jack Nicholson could be twins in there younger years.
Is this the error? "HISTORICALLY SPEAKING" "Expansive, explosive and expensive were all key ingredients that led to its unparalleled success," "Expensive" *Really?
Fair question mm, but think about it this way: The year was late 1959 and Del Webb and Jim Boswell kicked in a million eight for that early infrastructure (the initial buildings) and while that doesn't sound like much it was a lot of money back then. More so, it was an investment in a project the experts said would be an abysmal failure. To the night before they opened the guys wondered if anyone would show up. Gotta love the history, and besides, i really like alliteration.
