So this morning I went to the RCSC board meetings and picked up a copy of the Management reports. I had said last month i felt the PIF collections should be around 6.4 to 6.5 million dollars by years end. Huh, little did i know.

The general managers report stated they collected $649,013 in December (a notoriously slow home sales month) which brought the 2015 total to $6,817,766. Nice.

For those of you mathematically challenged, that comes in at just under 2300 homes sold in the year. If you extrapolate that out, you get an astounding 6.25 homes sold each and every day of the year in Sun City (including weekends and holidays).

The vast majority of the Sun City residents are delighted with these numbers. The handful of naysayers and haters of all things PIF being the only exception to the rule. Go figure eh?

For me the PIF was one reason to buy a home in SC. No interest in owning property in a underfunded community.
~10% turnover is a healthy number. New owners tend to improve their property.

I was also happy to pay a PIF so the community would have funds. Makes sense.
