We've used a myriad of painters over the years, some good, some less than good. When we bought the rental I came across a painting truck on Bell Road with signage about how inexpensive they were. I was looking for reasonable (cheap) and quick. Called them and on the day we got the key they were there to give me an estimate (that was a Tuesday).

The price for both inside and out (and taking down the border wallpaper that was everywhere) came in at just under $3500. Seemed more than fair. They started on Thursday (2 days later) and were done on Monday with everything. They did a great job, caulking all the windows and the paint job was exceptional inside and out.

They are from Glendale and while I would prefer Sun City painters, these guys met and exceeded my every expectation. Here's the link to the J & M Painting website, it's at least worth getting a bid from them.

Just in time BP. I'm looking for a second quote and called J & M. Can't wait to touch down again this week in SC. I'm even riding in the Dawn boat parade on Saturday on my neighbors boat. Yahooo

Although a touch expensive, I contracted with Albrecht & Sons and they were very pprofessional, showed up every day until the job was complete. I would recommend them and remember that you get what you pay for. They are located in Youngtown, close enought to SC.

FYI, J & M (see BP's recommendation above) just painted the entire inside of my house and removed 3 popcorn ceilings. They did a great job at half the cost of the other estimate I had obtained. It included the woodwork & inside closets which was extra for the other estimate. Didn't get a third estimate. The only negative I have to say is they didn't sand the trim before painting so it won't last as long. I imagine they would have if I asked them to for a bit more $. They did do an incredible amount of patching and sanding walls, which was included, as I had added extra electrical and entire house of recessed lighting. I have a flat roof, recessed lights are not an easy job on a flat roof, and it required many large holes. They also have a very reasonable price for exterior painting too... not doing that yet. Something has to wait.
