There are currently 208 users online! 1 member and 207 guests! There are only 42 active members for all of the communities! It's great to pop in here to read the posts, but it would be even better if you posted a comment or gave a bit of information of why you're interested in this site. You can register as a member and not worry about being spammed....it just doesn't happen. I've gotten no ads or emails generated from this site. So jump in and let us know who you are!?! P.S. I'm not gaining anything from posting this other than wanting more interaction with people.
Got to be honest with you aggie, i'm frustrated, but not by lack of posting. I posted a question to the admins a week ago...to date nothing. I too noticed the huge number of visitors (maybe bots?) and simply wanted to know how the site works. I didn't think it was too much to ask. Must have been. Online communities are a fascinating study in human behavior. Way more lookers than doers...sound a little like society in general? Once the admins give me an answer, i'll be happy to post away once more.
Peg- I was trying to get some of the "guest-lurkers" to start posting. Right now there are 40 guests on the site and it would be great if we could get a few more new people posting. It is such a small group of regulars that keep the conversation going here.
How do you determine those 40 are for SC/Original? I just see a bunch of guests looking at different pages, some not SC/O
In looking at the various pages there are visitors at a variety of the different threads. It would be good to see people posting on any of the other Sun City threads. I'm interested in what's going on at all Sun City communities.
I don't think we can/should wait ten years. It's easy to set up a website/bulletin board, but it takes work to keep it going. It seems like this board has been abandoned by the admin, and that is unfortunate. I can't tell you how helpful this site has been to us from the minute we put Sun City on our list of possible retirement spots. It would be a shame if future home owners/neighbors didn't have that type of information available. We will think of something.
Just today I referred users of city-data to this site for SC information. Someone on that forum was asking about hoa issues in various communities and it seemed appropriate for questions regarding SC be posted here. I agree that given the vitality of the community there should be (shoulda, coulda, woulda) more users here on a regular basis. Thankfully those of you regulars keep me very informed. THANK YOU!
I've also written to the Admin of this forum and hope to get a response. It would be a shame to lose contact with so many people if this forum should be allowed to expire.
I did a WHOIS on the site...whoever it is has the domain name registered until 02/2018. Worse case, it will continue to get stale, which will cause a slow painful death of the site. Seems rigor is setting in now.
