Anyone got tickets for the show "One Hit Wonder's" at the Sun Dial auditorium tonight? Sounds like it might be kind of fun.
Nope. We went to the movies and saw "The Martian". I read the book quite a while ago and it was great. The movie(not the 3d screens) was fantastic in spite of knowing what would happen! Senior price tickets only $7 and then off to Village Inn for supper with free pie. Almost 4 hours of entertainment for less than the cost of two tickets to the Sun Dial show. Hope the One Hits show was better than last Saturday's.
I suspect you meant Sunday's...which could not have been any worse than it was. We saw people leaving after 3 songs. We toughed it out for about 10 tunes, but those never ending horn riffs got way annoying after awhile.
I resent having to go an hour or more early to claim a a non-reserved seat for a Sundial concert, but suggesting going two weeks before the concert and camping out is over the top. I'll take my chances on the 21st with the usual hour early arrival.
Hey BR; you'll be happy to know as of 2016 you'll be able to buy reserved seats for the Sun Dial performances. Of course the prices will be higher and that will cause issues if you bring guests or are coming with others who aren't season ticket holders. Hopefully that can be dealt with on a show by show basis if tickets are still available. Survivor...Season 30. My mothers favorite show. God love her.
The easy thing would be to let this thread die its own death, but I came to find out I was wrong again (second time in the last 20 years eh?), the One Hit Wonderful's Show was last night. Anyone attend? I know my friend went but won't talk to him till later to day. I'll get the low down on the performance, but anyone go to Sun Dial last night?
My buddy said it was an awesome show. Got to love what's going on in Sun City from an entertainment perspective eh? The free shows kick butt and the paid shows just add to the attractiveness.
Not to one-up but I've seen them four times. First in 73 in Chicago when they had that giant mirror behind them that reflected psychedelic lights. The last time in Los Angeles when Page p!ayed inside a spinning lazer light. BTW, auto correct just gave me the option to capitalize Page.
I was never allowed to attend rock concerts. I was 20 in '73 and already living on my own for several years. Zeppelin 73 was the first concert I ever attended. They didn't make a tshirt for that year (if you see them they are fakes) but I do still have one from the last time I saw them in '77. Like this one
I saw him in 1980 in Eugene Oregon. I didn't know about him until that famous album of his but I read one day that he had been in Humble Pie in the very early days.
