I was driving through the parking lot near Bealls at 107th & Grand and saw a sign posted in one of the store fronts. The words I caught were "Speakeasy/Bar to open" but I was unable to read the additional notices posted on the window. Has anyone got any more information on this? Could be interesting.

I think this may be The Speakeasy that was in Youngtown on Grand Avenue just to the west of Jack in the Box.

Yes, the Speakeasy is moving !

I was in the hood this afternoon and heard a few things about this and it sounds
like it's a week or two out. and it will be next to Beals. I did not swing past there
to see what's going on, however I did run into a few amigo's I've not seen in some
time and we got to reminiscing about the day's of Sun City's past and friendly
establishments that are no longer around :drunk:

I guess crossing the border into Youngtown is too far for us seniors. I knew where the Speakeasy was located but usually only make trips to Youngtown for Ace Hardware or the Post Office.

The old place in my opinion is a bit small, but the people and bar tenders are fantastic !
I've never been aware of any drama or obnoxious drunks there. it reminds me of the home town
local bars in northern MN where everyone is very friendly and genuinely glad to see you ;)

The old place did not have food, however I've attended a few events there that were
pot luck and everyone brought something very nummy.

I can't imagine going to a bar where a lot of strangers bring food.

Hmm...Kinda like a Church social or the Fall Festival at the Sundial :confusion:
