AND now we all get informed that Bell pools outdoor lap, spa, and walking will be closed for 8 weeks due to maintenance - May 5th - June 23 - - Duh ! ! What is going on ??? - - know it needs maintenance however - - - Closing it when "we who live here all year long" were awaiting for the crowds to diminish to return to Bell -- now closed ( Are "us who live here all year long" being punished - -?? It feels as that !) - A better time would have been Dec. Jan. for maintenance. I do not remember any votes taken on this from the boards. . .It is a sad time for all who want to be at Bell when the nice warm season is just beginning. I am normally a very gracious, kind, and happy, blessed person - - I love my Sun City - - But closing this pool area for so many prime-time-weeks - - is just not a good event for homeowners who look forward to summer-time fun !
Lakeview also was closed and not to open till mid-May - - unless they finished that pool work early - - I have not heard that Lakeview pool re opened yet. Unless repairs are an absolute emergency - - Maintenance should be done in the winter months - Nov. Dec. Jan - -when no one wants to go to the pools. you are correct Aggie - Poor planning for certain - - Where is the common sense - - Guess These Planners never use the pools or wonderful facilities.
Lakeview was only down for a few days and is and has been open for several weeks now. Not sure how good the memory is, but seems to me a heater went out and the pool was too cold without it working. Hope that helps.
One of my neighbors goes to Bell pool every day. She is very, very angry about the closure. I will be filling out the card that is available at the rec centers to complain. Others should do so also. Let's be heard!!!!
Many Many disappointed Residents who live here all year long will be saddened when "OUR WONDERFUL SUMMER MEETING PLACE" aka: Bell Rec Pool is closed for 8 weeks. Filling out the cards at the rec centers is one idea of getting out our feelings about this issue. Sometimes I think only the supervisor of that one rec center sees these cards - -then tossed - - natch ... My suggestion would be to call the Rec Center at Lakeview (office) and talk to the manager of the rec centers. Nothing now will be done of course -- It is a done deal - - closing May 5th !
